Our History

2009

• The Group, including associated enterprises, reaches record growth in a range of areas:
   45% increase in the sale of power
   138% increase in the wind development pipeline
   41% increase in the solar development pipeline
   101% increase in the investment potential
   180% increase in profit before tax
• European Energy acquires 50.25% of European Wind Farms A/S, which thereby becomes a wholly owned company.
• Acquisition of a range of European wind farm projects together with a financial investor in a 50:50 shared ownership.
• In order to focus 100% on wind and solar activities, the Company decides to end its hydro energy activities.
• The group operates throughout 12 European countries with a dominant presence in Germany, Spain, Bulgaria and Italy.

2008

• First Bulgarian wind farm is erected.
• EES acquires in excess of 250 MW and invests for more than EUR 375 million.
• Accumulated pipeline exceeds 490 MW and EUR 1,000 million.
• First 7 solar farms are connected to the grid in Spain.
• EES grows to 32 full-time employees

2007

• Energy sales exceeds EUR 27 million. Hereof, EES' share is EUR 13 million.
• Wind projects located in Germany, Italy, Greece, France, Poland, Bulgaria, Bosnia, and Croatia.
• Awarded Denmark's fastest growing company by business magazine "Bψrsen"
• First solar projects in Spain under construction.
• Start of hydro activities.

2006

• Completion of 14 wind projects with 66 turbines. First project in Italy.
• 50.25% of EWF shares sold to Group external investor.
• EWF is Vestas' biggest customer in Germany.
• Start of solar activities via European Solar Farms A/S (ESF).

2005

• Completion of five wind projects comprising of 19 turbines, all locates in Germany.

2004

• Mother company European Energy A/S and European Wind Farms A/S (EWS) are founded by two wind professional.
