Group Structure

European Energy A/S is divided into two subsidiaries: European Wind Farms A/S focuses on wind projects wheras European Solar Farms A/S focuses on solar projects. Both are divided into daughter companies undertaking development activities in different geographical areas (e.g. EWF Italy). In each country special purpose vehicles (SPV) are established for the operation of individual power plants.

In total, the Group consists of approximately 300 wholly or partly owned subsidiaries and associated companies. This places the Group among the 10 largest in Denmark measured by the number of consolidated entities.

This ownership model is a way to project finance our various investments in that the project-specific SPVs help to comply with the requirements of the financing banks.
