On Tuesday November 2, 2010, Ernst & Young announced the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2010 in the Region of Copenhagen. European Energy was among the five nominated companies. A total 107 companies had met the requirements to participate in Ernst & Young’s growth competition.
”The financial crisis has set its mark on the number of entrepreneurs. Compared to last year the number of growth companies has decreased by 50%. In Copenhagen the competition went from 190 qualifying participants last year to 170 this year. Nevertheless, it’s again a very strong group of companies competing for this year’s election of the Entrepreneur Of The Year,” says Carsten Collin, director of Entrepreneur Of The Year.
Ernest & Young has interviewed potential candidates for 14 years in a row. This year, the leading question in the nomination process has been how companies have managed to show strong growth despite the financial crisis. Winner of the competition in the Region of Copenhagen was the software company Sitecore.
