NIBC and European Energy together expand wind farm portfolio
NIBC’s European Infrastructure Fund (NEIF) and European Energy A/S together reached an agreement to expand the Altlandsberg wind farm. The additional acquisition from third parties brings the total operating capacity of the wind farm to 14MW and enlarges the portfolio that European Energy and NEIF hold together to 48MW.
The Altlandsberg wind farm is equipped with Vestas turbines which became operational in 2003 & 2004. The proven technology together with long term technical, commercial and operation & maintenance agreements provide for a high degree of reliability and operational availability of the turbines.
European Energy decided to invest as minority shareholder alongside NEIF and will manage the additional capacity together with the existing portfolio that the parties hold.
The German onshore wind sector is one of the core sectors of NEIF and European Energy. This transaction enhances the ongoing relationship between NEIF and European Energy with future cooperation opportunities in the wider European renewable energy market.
The parties have agreed to not disclose any financial information concerning the transaction.
