European Energy constructs more green energy

Nov 18, 2016

European Energy has just closed several project-financing agreements supporting the construction of 88,7 MW wind energy in three European countries. The total project-financing volume is almost 140 EURm.

The projects are situated in Finland (13,8 MW), Germany (54,9 MW) and Italy (20 MW) and will when grid connected supply more than 55.000 European homes with green electricity. European Energy expects to grid-connect the 20 MW in Italy ultimo 2016, while the projects in Germany and Finland will be grid-connected during 2017.

EE has experienced a significant interest in the projects from a broad range of international investors, reflecting that green energy is considered a reliable, low risk asset. These projects are financed by German banks, and Knud-Erik Andersen, CEO of European Energy comments:

“I’m very pleased, since the financing agreements allow us to maintain a high level of activity in several European countries simultaneously and deliver on our promise to make cheap green energy available to all Europeans. We are looking forward to complete the construction phase in both Finland, Germany and Italy”.
